Mednarodno priznanje države Palestina je cilj Palestinskega osvobodilnega gibanja (PLO) od razglasitve neodvisnosti 15. novembra 1988 v mestu Alžir, na zasedanju Palestinskega državnega sveta v izgonu.

Razglasitev države Palestina je nemudoma priznala vrsta držav[1] in do konca leta skupno prek 80 držav.[2] Februarja 1989 je predstavnik PLO pred Varnostnim svetom OZN potrdil priznanje 94-ih držav. V sklopu reševanja izraelsko-palestinskega konflikta je podpis Oselskega sporazuma med Izraelom in PLO septembra 1993 pomenil ustanovitev Palestinskega avtonomnega sveta (PNA), kot prehodne vlade za upravljanje palestinskega ozemlja. Izrael ne priznava države Palestine in ohranja de facto vojaški nadzor tudi nad ozemlji, ki so uradno pod upravo PNA.

Do danes je državo Palestino priznalo 157 (81,3 %) od 193 članic Združenih narodov.[3] Več držav, ki je ne priznava, vseeno priznava PLO kot »predstavnike palestinskega ljudstva«. 29. novembra 2012 je Generalna skupščina OZN potrdila pobudo za spremembo statusa Palestine v »državo nečlanico opazovalko« s 138 glasovi za, 9 proti in 41 vzdržanimi.[4][5][6][7]

Izrael in več drugih držav, ki ne priznavajo države Palestine, zagovarja stališče, da se ustanovitev države lahko določi le na podlagi mirovnih pogovorov med Izraelom in PNA. Glavne prepreke v doseganju dogovora so meje, varnost, pravice nad vodo, status Jeruzalema in prost dostop do verskih središč, vztrajno širjenje izraelskih naselbin ter pravni pomisleki o pravici palestinskih beguncev do vrnitve.
