Umetnica in raziskovalka Robertina Šebjanič se ukvarja s poglobljeno refleksijo človeških vplivov na (vodna) okolja ter analizo družbenopolitičnih in ekonomskih struktur, ki temeljijo na načelih rasti proizvodnje in potrošnje. Njena umetniška dela so interdisciplinarna, poetična in hkrati tesno povezana z znanostjo ter drugimi družbenimi področji.

V okviru svoje analize antropocena umetnica uporablja izraza "aquatocene" in "aquaforming" za označevanje človekovega vpliva na vodna okolja. S svojim ustvarjanjem se ukvarja tudi z raziskovanjem teoretičnih vidikov antropocena. Za svoje izjemno delo je prejela številna priznanja, med katerimi izstopajo Honorary mention Prix Ars Electronica, Starts Prize Nominacijo, Falling Wall winner, Re:Humanism in druga pomembna priznanja.
