Par namigov za izboljšave:

  1. Library of Congress prevajamo kot Kongresna knjižnica.

— Yerpo Ha? 15:56, 9. april 2011 (CEST)

The following information is from "Biograph Bulletins, 1896-1908" (Compiled by Kemp Niver; Los Angeles: Locare Research Group, 1971).

"So quickly were advances on projection equipment being made that approximately four months later one more company, The American Mutoscope, a firm that so far had limited its motion picture production to various flip card devives, was able to introduce its projection machine, the Biograph, to the public at Hammerstein's Olympia Music Hall in New York. The exhibition was so successful that it was reported in considerable detail by no less than five of New York's largest newspapers on October 13, 1896. The Biograph projector soon replaced the American Mutoscope 's popular flip card viewer, the Mutoscope." (page 4)

The only information I find on the format in which "Sherlock Holmes Baffled" was distributed is as film rather than Mutoscope cards. The AM&B 1903 catalog lists "Sherlock Holmes Baffled" as 49 feet in length. The Library of Congress copy of the film is in our Paper Print Collection. Information on the paper prints is available at < http://www.loc.gov/rr/mopic/earlymps.html#pape>. Our holdings of this title consist of the original paper positive, a 16mm reference print and a 16mm duplicate negative. Our 16mm holdings are 18 feet in length.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have additional questions.

— Yerpo Ha? 22:39, 14. april 2011 (CEST)
