This template is intended to simplify entering the references to source the articles on the administrative and municipal divisions of Russia, its inhabited localities, etc.

Parameters

Bolded parameters are mandatory.

  • FS, or the first unnamed parameter, is the ISO 3166-2:RU code (without the "RU" part) of the federal subject to which the item being referenced belongs. For example, Altai Krai is coded as "alt"
  • type1, or the second unnamed parameter, is either "adm" (administrative divisions) or "mun" (municipal divisions). The default is "adm".
  • type2, or the third unnamed parameter, is either "law" (a law on the administrative/municipal division) or "list" (a list of administrative/municipal entities). The default is "law".
  • district, or the fourth unnamed parameter, is the name of the administrative/municipal district, to which the administrative/municipal law/list being cited pertains. There is no default value.

Important notes[uredi kodo]

The templates uses the parameters submitted to it to call an appropriate subtemplate (for example, {{RussiaAdmMunRef/alt/admlaw}}). If the subtemplate does not exist, the call will fail, producing an ugly red link. Make sure you create a proper subtemplate first if one does not yet exist. A list of existing subtemplates is available in Category:Subtemplates of Template RussiaAdmMunRef.
