The Three Founders. to Buddhism, and borrowed its legends and prayer-books,and with its right hand it stole the state gods of Con-fucianism, and hid them among its household stuff,and its devotees, leaving the speculations of the oldphilosopher, betook themselves to charms, sorcery,and spiritualism.
