I thought I'd help get the ball rolling on the list of numbers, Seznam števil, with 12 (število). I progressed through the integers with the help of XJamRastafire, getting articles on most of the numbers between 1 and 100 started in 2004. In 2005 I started the remaining ones, and fine-tuned the existing ones a little.
I'm just now beginning to learn the language of my father. Growing up, only English was spoken at my house, though I heard a little Slovene when my grandparents came by.

About three years ago I begun to try to learn the language of my father. Growing up, only English was spoken at my house, though I heard a little Slovene when my grandparents came by. Unfortunately, the fact that Slovene has nothing to do with day job and other commitments, and the fact that I'm only gonna get older, mean that I've made extremely little progress.

That and the fact that Slovene is a very difficult language. According to The Easiest Language And The Runners Up by Wesley Edward Arnold, Slovene is more difficult than Arabic and Chinese (this makes me wonder if he only considered spoken language and failed to factor in the difficulty of learning a new script).

Am I going to give up? No. But Robert Happelberg has sold me on to the idea of a strategic retreat: I'm going to learn Esperanto, a language said to help people in the acquisition of other languages. I will start popping up in the Esperanto Wikipedia and be seen less frequently here. So with any luck, I will learn Esperanto and be able to come back to learning Slovene better equipped.
