Hello. I thank you (with a lot of late, sorry) for the welcoming. I don't come on sl.wikipedia very often since I can't read your language. Can you help me understand in english what the word Verigar mean ? I want to write a philatelic article about this stamp series for fr.wikipedia. Thank in advance. It's hard to translate, but veriga in Slovene means a chain. So Verigar is a nickname for a man associated with chains - it could as well mean that he produced them, but not in this context - in the context of this stamp, it is the symbolical Slav who brake free from the chains of German/Austrian/Hungarian oppresion (ie. the Austro-Hungarian empire) and entered into newly formed State of Slovenes, Croats and Serbs. --romanm (pogovor) 12:57, 13 november 2005 (CET)
